(Dimensions are shown in inches for convenience.)

To Build:Board is a 12 inch long piece of 2" x 4" lumber.A flat faced end cap for 4" plastic drain pipe is screwed on as shown. The 5/16" lag bolts are between 3 and 4 inches long and are screwed in the bottom of the board (10 inches apart) as shown only until anchored firmly.Use approximately 1/4" pilot holes for the lag bolts. The part of the lag bolt that sticks out will act as a post to slide in the end of the conduit.Holes are then drilled for 3 inch long 5/16" eyebolts. The eyebolts are inserted as shown in the drawing. The eyebolts are used to attach bracing chains and cables to the Tarzan Swing. The hole in the center of the endcap and board allows the threaded end of an eyebolt protruding from the top tube to fit through. The top end and top tube are held together on each end with a wingnut.  Click here to return to How to Build.
